About me

Hello, I’m Abbi

As a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, I am passionate about helping people overcome a wide range of challenges. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, each bringing their own unique issues they wish to address.

I am kind, caring, and empathetic, and my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable and at ease, enabling them to fully engage in the hypnotherapy process.

Like many sensitive people, I’ve had my own struggles with mental health. In the past, not managing my anxiety and stress led to burnout, and was a contributing factor in getting diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) played a key role in my recovery. It helped me understand how my brain was working, accept my situation, slow down, pace myself, and set realistic goals. As a result, my sleep quality improved dramatically, my stress levels came down, and my energy and slowly returned.

SFH also introduced me to hypnosis and deep rest non-sleep. I’m passionate about the healing power of stress reduction through deep relaxation, and it’s something I use every day to stay balanced, able, and well.

Alongside running my hypnotherapy practice, I’m a Registered Nurse with a BSc (Hons) in Nursing. I also hold a professional Certificate in Counselling, and several Postgraduate Diplomas focused on long-term health conditions, including diabetes. I’m fascinated by the mind-body connection and am always updating my knowledge in this vast area. I’m currently working towards the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma, the highest qualification in this field.

I have a lot of personal and advocacy experience with neurodiversity and the Special Educational Needs (SEN) system. This really helps in my work, as many of my clients identify as neurodiverse. SFH can be incredibly beneficial to people in this community.

On a personal note, I’m mum to two teenage girls, a lively young dog, and two elderly chickens. ❤️❤️

I feel incredibly lucky to live in a beautiful village in South West England. I enjoy being out in nature, walking my dog, swimming in the sea (in the summer!), catching up with friends, and snuggling on the sofa with my family.
