Fears and Phobias

We all have natural impulses to feel scared or frightened of things. However, phobias are more than just a fear. Phobias are often linked to a specific event in your past, whether or not you remember it. They can also be a “learned behavior” from someone close to you. Phobias can be debilitating.

We may avoid certain situations, or the phobia might prevent us from doing things we would want to do because the perceived threat or danger becomes overwhelming, causing our anxiety and stress to build. Reactions can be physical too, with symptoms like sweating or difficulty breathing.

When a phobia becomes severe, it can be extremely life-limiting and distressing. In some cases, even thinking about the source of a phobia can trigger anxiety.

I love working with people to help them overcome fears and phobias. Using a blend of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH), the sessions are fun, incredibly effective, and fast-acting.

How many sessions you need depends on varying factors, and we can discuss this in the first session. Usually, for a simple phobia such as a fear of spiders it is around 4 sessions more complex phobias such as agoraphobia would usually need more sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

We can discuss this in the intro call or the first session. The number of sessions you need will vary. Everybody is different.

An average of 8-12 sessions will be required for stress-related problems and anxiety.

Specific phobias such as a fear of flying or spiders will usually require about 4 sessions.
