Neurodiversity / Highly Sensitive Person

If you are neurodiverse or a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) can be an effective way to help manage many of the challenges you may face daily.

Many of my clients are neurodiverse or recognize neurodiverse traits in themselves. Whether you have ADHD, ASD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), dyslexia, dyscalculia, sensory processing disorder, dyspraxia, tic disorder, or Tourette's (or likely a combination), or maybe you are a Highly Sensitive Person, I can work with you to increase your self-esteem, cope better with sensitivities around rejection, reduce your stress levels, lessen anxiety, improve sleep, reduce overwhelm, and help you reach your goals, moving towards living the life you want to live.

I am happy to make any adjustments necessary to help this work for you. I am friendly and approachable, and I am here to support you.

What is a Highly Sensitive Person?

In her groundbreaking research, Dr. Elaine Aron recognized traits in about 15% of the population, calling that subset Highly Sensitive People. Highly sensitive people are often very bright and creative, but many suffer from low self-esteem. They are sensitive to their environment and often to the feelings of others around them. They can often feel overwhelmed in busy, crowded, or noisy places. Living as a Highly Sensitive Person can make you more prone to higher levels of stress, low mood, and low self-esteem compared to the less sensitive part of the general population.

How many sessions will I need?

We can discuss this in the intro call or the first session. The number of sessions you need will vary. Everybody is different.

An average of 8-12 sessions will be required for stress-related problems and anxiety.

Specific phobias such as a fear of flying or spiders will usually require about 4 sessions.
